The welding process

The welding process is related to factors such as welding methods. The operation should be determined according to the material, brand, chemical composition, weldment structure type, and welding performance requirements of the welded workpiece.
Try to open the weldment into a U-shaped groove for welding. If it is a casting defect, the groove shape dug out should be smooth. The purpose is to reduce the proportion of the parent material melted into the weld metal, so as to reduce the carbon content in the weld and prevent cracks.
Welding is a processing technology and connection method that uses heating, pressurization, or both, with or without welding materials, to cause atomic diffusion between the two workpieces to form a metallurgical bond. Welding is widely used and can be used for both metals and non-metals.
In modern metal processing, welding developed later than casting and forging processes, but it has developed rapidly. The weight of welded structures accounts for about 45% of steel production, and the proportion of aluminum and aluminum alloy welded structures is also increasing.
For future welding technology, on the one hand, new welding methods, welding equipment and welding materials should be developed to further improve welding quality and safety and reliability, such as improving existing arc, plasma arc, electron beam, laser and other welding energy sources; using electronic technology and control technology to improve the process performance of the arc, and developing reliable and lightweight arc tracking methods.
